Sweet Little House
Just wanted to share photos of tonight's activity with my niece Alexa who is staying with us this week. My sister Gina and her little one Alexa came over Saturday night and stayed over so that they could help me paint on Sunday. And since I'm home this week and my sister had to work, Alexa stayed with us. We are enjoying her visit, my DH loves spending time with her it is so sweet to see how he enjoys spoiling her and playing wii with her. Hope your Christmas plans are falling into place and that you get to spend the holiday with family and friends. To all of you I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and that you continue to be blessed. We all have so much to be thankful for and so let's not forget it in all the hustle and bustle of the season.

A Crafters Christmas Poem
This has been circulating on blogs and had to share, not sure who the author is but it's great!
'Twas the Night Before Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?"Or a Cricut," I said, with a smile on my face. And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa!" I said."You know....good little girls should be in their beds.""I know I should Santa, and now I've got caught. But I was just so excited to see what you brought.""Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear..."You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"
LOL Is that not hilarious! And how many of us can relate?

All Me.....well the ceiling fan installs

Just wanted to show you the two new ceiling fans that I installed, yes me, all by myself! Finally, something my DH has never done so he left it to me to do. Don't you just love the black fan in my studio! We added the medallion above it, oh he did hang that for me and even sprayed it black. I am now considering painting my bookshelf black, we will see. I am also trying to plan out a new layout. I want to put my work table in the middle of the room and add some additional counter space to have my cricut and purple cow on so to not crowd my work space. Also, the closet is being revamped so I will have a ton more storage in there too! There is lots of painting still left to do. I did prep work like filling the nail holes and then following that up with primer so that the paint would take to the painters putty. We worked in the guestroom too, lots of prep work, install of crown and baseboards and revamping the closet as well. Now that we have lights in both rooms we can paint the closets and trim during the week after work. What? Christmas, oh yes and we need to finish our shopping and tidy up the living room for my family's visit on the 25th. My last load of laundry calls so gotta run, hope your Monday starts out well! Ciao for now.

Oh Christmas Tree....Oh Little Christmas Tree.....

Hi there! Well, we worked hard all day in both the craft studio and the guestroom and boy are we tired! My DH is snoozing on the sofa as I type and surf the net. I also took time out to address Christmas cards so now they just need his signature and off they go. Wanted to share this years Christmas tree, with our home in such a disarray we thought it best not to put all our stuff out. I love, love, love decorating for Christmas so this was hard for me. But, it was the best choice and so here is a pic of our little tree and a close up too. OOPS, my typing just woke him up so off to bed he goes.... Actually, it will work out great for me as I have to make some things in my temporary studio and since it's just steps from the couch I have been waiting for him to leave so I wouldn't disturb him. Tomorrow will be another day of work so I better get to creating so I'm not up all night. Ciao and have a great Sunday!

A Christmas Gift
Hope you have had a great week! It seems to have dragged out for me and work has been quite stressful this week. I am hoping to take off the the week of Christmas but next weeks work load will help decide this. So, a gift was delivered to me today from my sister in law Gay who lives in Odessa Texas. She makes quilts and when we visited her back in June I saw some of her work and fell in love with it! Little did I know that she drew my name for the Christmas gift exchange! Lucky me because this beautiful quilt is all mine! Who knew a quilt could make a girl cry. I truly am blessed to be part of the Wyatt family, they really welcomed me to the family and made me feel loved.
So, she sent me this gift early so that I could enjoy it during the holidays and boy am I right now as I type! We still don't have heat, the exhaust hasn't been hooked up since that darn IKE hit. My DH had taken over my store bought blanket and so now I have my very own.

Wall Hanging
Christmas Pringles

Just wanted to share with you the decorated pringle cans that I finished up this morning. I am going to use them as Christmas decorations for now. And I'm so attached to them I may ask to keep them once the girls open them up and take their necklaces? I have a feeling they will end up in the trash and so I think it would be great to re-use them next year. Maybe I can make it a tradition that they get a necklace from me each year and they will be in these decorated pringle cans. Have a great Sunday!

Days 2 and 3 of 12 Days of Tags

Hello all! I say all as if I have a ton of visitors, lol, one can wish can't she? Anyhow, so first I want to share some fun news! My DH surprised me with the new Verizon Blackberry Storm this evening, he spoils me so! I think it was meant to be one of my Christmas presents but my DH can never wait to give me my gifts on the day of. While my new phone was charging I decided to work on the tags for day 2 and day 3 of Tim's 12 days of tags. I think they turned out OK, I had a little bit of trouble with the silver and so on my third try I decided to leave off the speckling he did on his. I want to buy the tool he used to do his, I used an old toothbrush and it sprayed way too much on it. So, the tag with the tree is from his day 2 and the one with the snowman is day 3. I don't have all the supplies he calls out so I made do with what I had. If you want to go see how his turned out click here. On day 3's tag he said to be sure to coat the back side of the acrylic oval completely before laying it on the image and I thought I had but when I pressed it some areas didn't seem to have enough coverage. What is cool about that tag is that he had us stamp the image on the tag with just black. Then stamped the same image on a second tag, it is on that tag that I added color then cut it out and placed it on top of the black image for the pop of color.
Well hope you have had a great week, it is almost over and then we get to continue the work on our house....oh joy.

12 Days of Tags - Day 1 Tag

In case you didn't know, Tim Holtz is doing his 12 days of tags again this year. He is incredibly talented and inspiring and you are crazy not to check it out! Just click on his name and you will be taken to his blog where he is showing step by step how to do the tags. I am going to try and do some of the tags if not all, we will see how my schedule allows. This evening I tried my hand at Monday's tag (Day 1 Tag), I didn't have the seasonal grungeboard so I made do by using the grungeboard I did have. I also didn't have the lantern stamp so I used a holly stamp onto the grungeboard and cut it out. I used my red glitter stickles on the berries. I did have one of his masks although it wasn't the one he showed. I used all the colors he called out and I am pretty happy with my tag, hope you like it too! One more thing, if you leave a comment on his blog you have a chance to win his daily giveaways. Ciao for now!
Quick Post
Just wanted to share a slide show of the journal I made for my cousin Leslie Ann who lives in McAllen TX. She turned 17 and loves to journal and so I think she loved the book I made her. I used Teresa Collins papers, Heidi Swap Overlays/Damask Sticker, Stamps from Rubbernecker.com and my Zutter to bind it.
