The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

No, this isn't a post on a Clint Eastwood. I'm borrowing that title to give you an update on us. The Good.... We are still a two income family. The Bad.... Many families out there are no longer two income families and not by choice. Let's keep all those families in our prayers! The Ugly...... I have to get used to my DH switching to a 14 day on and 14 day off work schedule. When we first got married (18months ago) he was on the 7 days on and 7 days off then we got spoiled as they switched to a Houston gig and he was here every day for just short of a year. Now, things are getting changed and he is back to working away but this time for a longer stretch. I'm sad but I know that this is part of being a grown up and having a job and responsibilities. We got word that since he is getting switched to 14/14 that he will get to stay home for 7 more days so that was a nice surprise as I thought he would be leaving this Tuesday. This may mean I will be MIA as I try to get as much hubby time as possible since I work days my evenings will be dedicated to him. I mailed off packages today so you ladies who won my mirrors should see them in a weeks time. Have a great Easter! Hugs from Conroe, TX!

Nancy, I hope you and your family have a very special Blessed and Happy Easter. I am thankful you both still have job, and yes I do pray for all those who don't. This is a really terribly hard time for a lot of people. Enjoy your blessings and your hubby. God Bless. Hugs, Marty

Happy Easter to both of you. I love how you are able to take the negative and turn it into something that will work well in the long run. Good for you Nancy. I get the feeling that you are a very positive person. Yes it is heartbreaking to see what is happening to so many families. It's good to pause and reflect on the bounty in our lives.

All The Best To You..

Sue.

Nancy, I know how wierd work hours can take a tole. My husband worked for 30 years, 12 days straight two days off, every other evening shift and every other morning. Then just a few weeks ago he was laid off. The good news is he's going to do something on his own and he's excited. You've probably seen mine post telling everyone I got a job with Pottery Barn at their call center and I will work mon-friday 9-5 and for the first time in thirty years we will be on the same schedule! Halleluja! I hope you have a very blessed Easter.

Girl I hear you. My husband was my boyfriend for four years and he was two thousand miles away. We saw eachother about six times a year. Then we married in November 2005 and he did not move to the states until July 2006.(He is Canadian). But the distance keeps the romance fresh...lets face it, when they are gone, we cling to all the funny, touching things they say.
