I had a friend get married today and boy was it a beautiful and fun wedding! She asked me months ago to decorate her candy buffet and of course I said YES! I had so much fun using my Silhouette to create the tags labeling the candy containers and even more fun creating a floral topiary! I was inspired by a round topiary I saw in the Flickr Silhouette Group page.
The piece made me giddy, being a geeky paper crafter something like this makes a girl like me giddy, LOL. What is hard to show you in these photos is that after I created it I misted it with some water mixed with pearl accents and it looked delish! And would love for you to come back again or just click on the HOME button so that you can see more current posts, there’s a cute Halloween post HERE.
The theme was Love is Sweet, she provided all the candy and most of the containers and I took it from there. It was a big hit with all the guests, candy is always a winner! Not sure if you notice but I had originally shared a scallop that I was going to use but then later decided to use the Silhouette to cut out squares. Their wedding invite had their monogram in a square so I wanted to tie into that. I also created the “Love Is Sweet” Banner with the Silhouette, first cut the pennants, the trim and the letters then simply put it together and hung them on some tulle.
Here is a photo of the happy couple, I got busy after the ceremony and did not get any better pictures :( My friend Michelle was a stunning bride!
Here is one more below that also includes my friend Karen dancing with my handsome hubby, he’s the one with the sexy bald head, LOL.
Have a great week! Can’t believe the weekend is over :(

I love the flower topiary! LOVE IT! I would have never thought about having a candy bar for your guest to take home. Great idea.
The topiary is so pretty! But it must've taken forever to make all those little paper flowers. Unless they were just premade ones you bought at the store or something.

SaraJane, you are so lovely to put folks in the mood for spring. One of my favourite flowers is the hydrangea, and they bloom for a very long period! and these came out fantastic.
