Incase you are wondering how I created the fragment pieces in the necklace from Sunday’s post I thought I would share some step by step photos. Be sure to see this post HERE for a chance to win a great giveaway for December Girls Loft Kit! And continue to check back for more pieces I am working on!
Wanted to share with you some photos that would help you to understand how I created the acrylic fragment pieces, I’m also including a photo of the items I used.
The following items can be found at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s and at www.scrapbook.com or www.bluemoonscrapbooking.com
I traced the fragment over a piece of cardstock and then cut it out, I also inked the edges of the cardstock to add some dimension to it. You can see the stickers that I used in this photo too, those are from the girl’s paperie tinsel & twig line and you I have started seeing this line at Hobby Lobby and it’s available in this month’s November kit at www.thegirlsloft.com or at www.scrapbook.comOK, So now I am covering one side of the acrylic fragment with some glossy accents. As you can see I didn’t go to the edges, I did this because I plan on pressing it from the center out towards the edges and so it will then be fully covered. I’m pressing from the center out to the edges so that I get full glue coverage. You will need to let it dry for a few minutes.Once it’s dry or close to dry be sure to trim the edges or sand the edges to get rid of the paper peeking out the sides if you have any that is.
And there you have it! Super easy and you can do this with any papers! I also took a sticker and added it to the backside so that if the charm flipped over while I was wearing it there would be something on the backside besides just the paper. I also put a light coat of the glossy accents on the sticker so it would peel off as I wore it. Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to be sure to come back later this week to see the bracelet I am working on and I have another necklace in the works as well!
